Residential New Build – Yorkshire

The owners knew that they wanted their new home to be more energy efficient, which meant that it needed a more efficient heating method than a conventional oil fired boiler. Because of its village location the property did not have a gas connection and, with the rising price of oil, the couple felt there must be a better way of heating the property. In the end, they chose a 12kW air source heat pump.

The owner Mr Heath explains “We didn’t know much about heat pumps before we built our own home, but we knew we wanted to save energy, reduce out bills and have less of an impact on the environment. We feel we have achieved all three and now have a home that is pleasantly warm all year round, at a fraction of the cost of conventional heating methods.”
