Maybury Primary School – Hull

When Hull City Council’s Transforming Our Primary Schools review recommended that Maybury Primary, built in the 1930s, should be demolished and a new school built on the same site, they wanted to ensure that it would be fit for education into and beyond the 21st century.  The project involved the construction of a school for 210 pupils with classrooms, offices, reception, canteen, outdoor courts/pitches, library & parking.  Choosing a heat pump was particularly appropriate for this low environmental impact project with the 3000m of ground loops being laid beneath the school playing fields.
