JKN Renewables entered into 4 categories at this year’s Yorkshire & Humberside Regional awards: – Energy Efficiency Champion, Large Scale Project, Small Scale Project & RHI Installer of the Year. All in all it was a pretty successful day with a 3rd place in the Large Project of the Year category, 2nd place for Antony as Energy Efficiency Champion of the year and 1st places for both the Small Project of the Year and RHI Installer of the Year. We will be taking all the credit the RHI Installer award but as with any project, the success in the Small Project category wouldn’t have been possible without everyone else involved. So we would like to say thanks to Henry Boot Construction for the smooth running of the construction site, NIBE for supplying a quality air source heat pump unit and to Ampleforth Autism Plus for making the decision to go for a renewable heating system. We would also like to say thanks for the testimonials that I’m sure will have helped the judges choose JKN above the rest –

“JKN Renewables delivered an exemplar installation for Ampleforth College. The installation was completed ahead of time and on budget. The end user is also highly satisfied and the system is out-performing the employer’s requirements. JKN are our ‘go-to’ supply chain partner for any heat pump installations.” Ryan O’Loughlin | Project Director l Henry Boot Construction Limited

“We are happy with the NIBE renewable heating system that JKN installed and also the ongoing support with getting the RHI application completed” Richard Fenwick | Horticultural Manager |  Park House Barns | Autism Plus.

The RHI Installer of the Year came as a result of JKNs efforts both in the domestic and the commercial sectors. With domestic self-builds and retrofit projects we have always pushed for the highest efficiencies and RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) payments by promoting best practice in terms of the building fabric and insulation and also encouraging the use of ‘very low temperature’ heating systems. On commercial heat pump projects where the application process for the non-domestic RHI scheme is much more arduous, there has been additional scope for JKN to provide the much needed support from the start to the end of the process as well as delivering high quality, high performance heat pump systems.

All in all a good day was had by everyone and it was nice to get a bit of recognition for what we do.
